Joel Abbott is the Foundation Relations Coordinator for the Acton Institute. He previously worked for a private Christian foundation in West Michigan, serving as a program associate overseeing grants to missions agencies, seminaries, and NGOs in the Middle East and Africa. Prior to this he taught English as a Second Language, with a particular focus on students from Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf, in addition to serving as a staff member with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Joel received his B.A. in Communications and Middle Eastern Studies in 2011 from Grand Valley State University.
