Patrick Oetting is the Alumni Relations Director for Acton Institute.  Patrick was raised in Fort Wayne, IN and is the oldest of three children.  He attended Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN where he received a B.A. in Economics and Finance and played 4 years of varsity basketball.  After graduating from Bethel College, he moved to Grand Rapids to work on the PovertyCure Initiative at Acton Institute.  Patrick served in various roles on the PovertyCure team, including a stint as Strategy & Engagement Manager.  As a part of the PovertyCure team, Patrick traveled abroad, promoting the PovertyCure principles to diverse audiences.  He has been published in the Indiana Policy Review, Fort Wayne News Sentinel, and various local outlets.  In addition to his work at Acton, Patrick has participated in the selective Koch Summer Fellowship Program and Liberty@Work program through the Charles G. Koch Institute – receiving top notch leadership and Market-Based-Management training.

Since July 2016, Patrick has served as the Alumni Relations Director.  In this role, he oversees all Alumni activities for those that have participated in Acton University, Free and Virtuous Society conferences, or Liberty & Markets events.  Chances are that you will see him at one of our many Acton or partner events in the near future, so please stop by and say hello!
