Rachael Toel joined the Acton Institute in 2016 and serves in our finance department as the senior accountant. Rachael holds a BS in Accounting and has completed the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) training.
Prior to working at the Acton Institute, Rachael served in the United States Marine Corps as a MAGTF Planner. Rachael earned the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding performance during her tour as a Lioness in Ramadi, Iraq.
Rachael and her husband met while serving on active duty at Camp Lejeune. Together, they have four children and a Great Dane named Millie. Rachael and her family really enjoy a slower pace of life outside the city and have recently started hobby farming.
