Rita De Vecchi is the special projects coordinator for Acton’s Rome office, Istituto Acton. She assists the Rome team in organizing the Institute’s international Italian conferences and newsletters, among many other administrative, academic, and public relations activities. She earned her bachelor’s degree in foreign languages and literature (English and French) from the University of Viterbo “La Tuscia” and a master’s degree in translation and interpretation from the Carlo Bo School of Professional Linguistics in Rome. Before coming to Istituto Acton, Rita worked for the travel agency section of American Express in Rome. Originally from the southern city of Salerno, she moved to Rome in 1999 to complete her studies and pursue her professional career.
