Ashanti Bryant, MSW, MEd serves as the Education Director at AmplifyGR. AmplifyGR a nonprofit organization in the Boston Square/Cottage Grove/Madison Square neighborhoods. We are working hand-in-hand with residents and community partners around the goals of 1) bringing economic opportunities to the neighborhood and connecting existing/emerging entrepreneurs with resources; 2) making every effort to have residents afford to stay in their homes & in their neighborhood as well as bring additional quality and affordable housing opportunities to the community; 3) supporting stronger outcomes at neighborhood schools and overall learning—from cradle through career; and 4) supporting a safe and healthy community.

An experienced leader with years of school administration service in public, charter and independent private schools, Ashanti Bryant is a native of Detroit, Michigan. Ashanti has taught preschool through college, been a social worker and therapist, and facilitator/trainer. Ashanti is passionate about developing diverse & inclusive communities, strengthening educational programs, empowering & positioning teachers as leaders, and building cultures of success for all students. His wife is also an educator and their family lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
