We all want to eradicate poverty, but what is the best way to go about that?

Sometimes, what we think is helping can actually hurt. Not only do we need to have a heart for the poor, but also a level head to determine the most effective methods for reducing poverty and helping the poor regain the dignity of providing for themselves. What are those methods? Promote business creation, encourage trade and call on the innate human creativity in all of us in a search for solutions.

From Occupy Wall Street to the campaign trail, we're told that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and free markets and trade are to blame. We're told that the middle class is getting squeezed. But these simplistic notions fly in the face of the facts.
