Hendrik Vincent Harris, who was born in The Netherlands as the child of an American pianist and a Dutch school teacher, is internationally known for his blog, Colored Opinions. After completing gymnasium in Leeuwarden, he studied theology in Aix-en-Provence and software engineering in Leeuwarden. After working for several years for KPN, the leading Dutch telecommunications company, he moved to Belgium, together with his Congolese wife, Rebecca, and son Carlos, opening businesses in Brussels and Maastricht.
