Overview
At the beginning of the twentieth century, famed theologian Abraham Kuyper toured the Mediterranean world and directly encountered Islam for the first time. His writings from this trip have been translated in part as On Islam, a nuanced and substantive observation of the faith and culture of the Muslim world anchored in an informed Christian point of view.
Today, Islam’s role on the global scene is more visible (and controversial) than ever, making it the perfect time to learn about its relationship with Christianity from Kuyper’s viewpoint. Kuyper’s writings explore Islam as a culture and religion with much to offer the West, but also as a challenge to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Join us as we celebrate the publication of On Islam with a panel discussion featuring the scholars who produced this volume.
