West Michigan pastors are invited to a breakfast reception at Acton in order to explore the role of faith in culture and what that means for the church. Guests will learn about Acton’s latest project, For the Life of the World: Letters to the Exiles; will hear from area pastors who have used this series in their churches; and will also receive a complimentary copy of both the series and Field Guide (worth $70).

For the Life of the World is a series of 7 episodes that gives the big picture overview of a compelling vision of Christianity’s relationship to culture and the various economies of life: family, creative service, ordering institutions, education and wisdom institutions, wonder and the fine arts, and then the church itself. The film is engaging and visionary, whimsical at points and substantive all in a single package. We are genuinely surprised by the intensity of the response for FLOW (For the Life of the World), it is beginning to take off, and we are deeply thankful to God for this because this series exists to bolster the church in a time of confusion and malaise. This is not stodgy, talking head video from experts as is common in Christian curricula.
