Manfred Spieker is professor of Christian social sciences at the Institute of Catholic Theology at the University of Osnabrück, where he has taught since 1983. He is the author of numerous books and articles on Catholic social teaching and is widely regarded as one of Germany's leading thinkers and commentators on Catholic social thought.
